Hello to all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve had a great start with the Pre Round-Up Dances! Congratulations to Circle 8, Plus 4\u2019s, Triangle Squares, Stone Steppers, Log Cabin Swingers, Kissin\u2019 Kuzzins, Fort Worth Squares, and ADD Plus for the success on your dances and thank you for supporting the 2026 Round Up. As you visit the dances in September make sure you get your signature cards ready for the two signatures! Go by and visit the Round Up tables to sign up for the Callers Cavalcade and Round Up if you haven\u2019t done so. They will be waiting for you with a nice smile on their faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 16th we had our NORTEX Quarterly meeting and it was wonderful to see the delegates, club presidents, past presidents, callers and cuers who attended. Great job to all the officers that had information and reports to share at the meeting. There were three clubs that were recipients for the Lesson Grant, so congratulations to Circle I, Kissin\u2019 Kuzzins, and Swinging Stars. Thank you to Log Cabin Swingers who donated $300.00 to our Teen Scholarship Funds, it is greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the meeting we had our \u201cLet\u2019s Party, Friends and Family Dance\u201d which all proceeds go to Lesson Grants. It was so exciting to see the line of guests that walked through the entrance door with anticipation of looking at what was about to happen. Ray Savell had the privilege to call for almost 60 guests and many experienced dancers that made 13 squares!! Amazing job, Ray!! We started the event with experienced dancers on the floor showing our guests how much fun and how beautiful square dancing is. What a party we had!! Pizza, sandwiches, chips, cupcakes, cookies and drinks were served. A BIG shout out to all who helped. I especially want to recognize Ron and Jolene Ryan, Fort Worth Squares, Trailblazers, Pat Cadenhead with Triangle Squares, Amanda Rogers and Deborah Holland with Log Cabin Swingers for the huge amount of work they did at the sign-in table and kitchen. The winner of the $100.00 gift card was Nece Zipper with Circle I, YAY!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NORTEX dancers, keep up the amazing job inviting and talking about square dancing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
