Well\u2026I do believe summer is here!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a wonderful 2026 Kickoff Dance with a lot of fun, food and fellowship. It takes great teamwork to make dance events successful, and all your help was greatly appreciated! David Toms and Ken Burke did an amazing job calling and as always David Berling was wonderful cueing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that it is August, our Pre-Round Up Dances are starting! Dancers get your Friendship cards ready for each Pre-Round Up Dance is two signatures! Clubs, please remember to have your flyers state two signatures plus get your two signatures for your club\u2019s visit at the Pre-Round Up Dances as well. Watch the Promenade for these dance dates and mark your calendars. You don\u2019t want to miss out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 NTCA Callers Cavalcade and NORTEX Round Up Dance venue have changed. The new location is, Diamond Hill Community Center, 1700 NE 37th Street, Fort Worth TX 76106.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have received a few Clubs Newsletters, thank you. It is exciting to know the fun you are having and activities you are planning. If you have not shared with your Area Vice President and me, please do so we would love to hear from you. No Newsletter, that\u2019s fine, just consider sending us an email of the exciting things your club is doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our NORTEX business meeting is August 16th at 2:00 pm at Swingtime Center so please mark your calendar. After the meeting we will have a \u201cLet\u2019s Party, Friends and Family Dance\u201d with caller Ray Savell. This dance is to promote the September lessons, and the proceeds will go toward the lesson grant. So, this is a double WIN, get our friends and family interested in square dancing and increase our lesson grant! A ticket will be given to the NORTEX dancer per guest they bring, then into the drawing for a $100 Amazon gift card. Easy money, just invite and bring them in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
