Last month, at the April 12 NORTEX Quarterly Business Meeting, the delegates elected new officers for the 2026-2027 year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the new Area Vice Presidents are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amanda Rogers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These fine people will do an amazing job representing you and NORTEX. Please reach out and congratulate each one. Thank them for being willing to serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer is coming really fast. This means that the State Festival and the National Square Dance Convention will be here next month. If you have never been to an event like this, please make plans to attend. It is an experience you will never forget. The National Convention is in Waco this year. It is not in Texas very often so seize the opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kickoff for Round-Up 2026 will be on July 12, 2026 at Swingtime Center. This year\u2019s event will be a fun and exciting event. Plans are being made for your dancing pleasure. This year\u2019s lineup includes Ken Burke as the featured caller, David Toms as the staff caller and Marilyn Waguespack, from Freeport, Texas, as the featured cuer. The theme is \u201cDancing for a Cause\u201d. We are dancing for Breast Cancer Awareness and Mental Health Awareness, as our Round-Up causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
